This is really weird, talking to someone who I am not even sure is there. But Lila and Daciana suggested I do this, so…Hello. My name is Delphine, you probably knew that already and you are my wolf. Things have taken a turn in my life and I am confused and unsure of what to do about certain things, so if you would please just…like reach out, I would appreciate it. I do hope I am not speaking to myself and you are there, listening to me.

“Wait! Before you go, I have a question,” Ruby said quickly, stopping the guards before he walked out. “How long will the Alpha keep me here?”
The guard shrugged. “I don’t know. Days, weeks, months, it’s his call.”
“Months! I can’t be here for a month while danger approaches. If Delphine doesn’t learn about her strength, she is going to fall into the hands of the wicked ones. Her wolf's arrival has gotten the attention of many back home, knowing she is still alive; they will come for her.”
“Yeah…” The guard eyed her. “Are you sure you aren’t mad?” Seeing her words had no effect on him, Ruby gave up. She planned to wait till nighttime and then she would escape and go find Delphine. Ruby was determined. She knew time wasn’t waiting for her; danger was fast approaching. It came to her as no surprise that Delphine knew nothing of her powers. Her father had always held her back because he wanted Delphine to learn how to be strong on her own, but even the strongest of Kings and Queens had someone who helped push them to that position. “Food and water will be brought in for you shortly,” he said before he left.

Ryan had just returned from taking the trainees out for a run when he had stopped, noticing something. It was a pleasant scent in the air, a scent he wasn’t familiar with, but surprisingly he now wanted to breathe in forever. He shook his head, realizing what just ran through his head. “What is this?” He asked himself, and following that, a chill ran down his spine, a strange sensation settled in the pit of his stomach. “Mate,” the word came out of his lips fast, even before his brain could process it.
