Rush recalled the conversation Michelle had earlier with her parents. So, this must be the man they were talking about. All he knew about Michelle was her marriage and divorce from Sebastian. Now, he felt there was a lot about Michelle he knew nothing about.
Curious to get a hint, his raised hand dropped, and he held back a little. Michelle was greatly angered. She was here for Piper, not ready to allow Ezrah to get in her way.
“Who are you? I think I’ve tolerated your madness enough. If your wife is missing, then go find her. I have no idea who you are.” With all her strength, she shoved him on the chest, but he was as rigid as a mountain, grabbing hold of the door before she sat in the car.
Rush could not watch any longer, as no other information was being released. It could be a case of mistaken identity, or either or both parties were hiding something.
“Leave her alone,” Rush pushed him violently. Ezrah shoved him back with force, but Michelle had already seized the opportunity to enter the car.
“The next time I see you near her, I will press charges,” Rush warned. But as he was about to sit in the car beside Zora, he was pushed away by Ezrah.
“We’ll see about that. Get her out of the car.” Ezrah held the door to the car, but before he entered to drag Michelle out, another bodyguard restricted him, while another one closed the door and Zora’s driver sped away. Rush could join any of the other cars.
Ezrah was chasing after the car, so Rush entered the next one with the other bodyguards, fuming about Ezrah’s behavior. He must have threatened to involve the cops but felt it was useless. There was something about Ezrah that made him uneasy.
