“You know about her?” Madison was bewildered that Zora knew about Piper. “Gosh. She only made an appearance at the company after your death. I mean, now that we are talking, I will rather say, disappearance. Then Ezrah broke up with her. She attempted to commit suicide, so he went to stay by her side at the hospital. A few months ago, they got engaged, and she comes to the office all the time.”
Zora’s gaze darkened slowly, and she could not help feeling bitter. Ezrah went to stay with Piper at the hospital because she wanted to take her life. What about her, who carried his child? Before and after the accident, he never showed up at the hospital. He was never there for her.
Ezrah was trying to fight for his fiancée’s family’s company. They would see about that. “Do you have any idea if they live together?” Zora did not know if she was ready for this but was certain that she was prepared. She would not live in this city for more than three months.
“Ezrah rented a penthouse for her, though Piper wants to be the madam of the mansion. She was excited because Ezrah agreed to go to the premiere of a new movie, 'Run or Die,' with her tonight. He even left the office earlier.”
Zora could feel suffocated by the air around her upon hearing the news. It was good that she made this call as she realized she would not have to wait until Monday to meet with Ezrah.
Oh, she got to see the bitch too. “Are you coming to the premiere too?” She asked over the phone, hoping to see Madison again. It had been a long time, and Madison was greatly missed by her.
“I so desired, but my boyfriend is so useless. He said the tickets are all sold out,” Madison lamented. She couldn’t say that she wasn’t envious when Piper came out of Ezrah’s office, flaunting herself and the tickets around.
“If you still want to make it, then start dressing up. I will send a cab to get you. Will you come with your boyfriend?” Zora asked, ready to make the call for the necessary things to be done. Madison was surprised and she had a lot of questions to ask but was not sure if this time was convenient.
