Coco weighed the options. Zora had married Ezrah with a prenup, but in this situation, she was going to walk away as a billionaire. She only wanted the best for her best friend, telling her exactly what she would have done under the same circumstances, given the same situation.
“It’s not a bad idea since he’s in a vegetative state. You can check his health records and make sure he isn’t waking up anytime soon. Also, make sure you put everything into writing. Have the contract signed in your interest.”
“Trust me, that money would be a great start-up for whatever business you want to venture into. Minor roles would never give you that amount even in twenty years.”
Zora thought through Coco’s suggestions. Her family’s net worth was millions, and after a few years, she could return to New York after her companies were flourishing and begin to avenge her dead child.
“I think you have a point, but I will still think about it a little. Let’s eat first. I need a lot of rest.”
Back in New York City, Piper was at the car park as she made a call to her father. “Dad, he broke up with me.”
On the other end of the line, her father scowled, “What did you do? I told you to lie low. Ezrah doesn’t like to be controlled.”
Piper was guilty of not following her father’s instructions, having taken her own initiatives and having failed on both accounts.
