"How do you feel now? Better?" he questioned, and I nodded. I definitely felt better after letting out all that bottled-up anguish.
"I'll let Ana and Elsie know about this. If you ever want to get over your fears, you need to let it out. I think you need therapy. Richard has connections, he'll send in one of the best psychologists for you. I promise it'll all be OK, and once your therapy is over, you'll be a brand new person. No more fears, anxiety, insecurities, nightmares, or self-doubt. You'll learn to love and trust yourself and do the same for others. Don't you want that?" he questioned, looking me straight in the eyes, and I nodded.
"That's good," he said and kissed my forehead before sighing.
"I probably have to explain the deal with Margallo now. You really should get comfortable, it's going to be a bit of a long story," he said, and I adjusted my posture, relaxing a bit as my back was starting to ache. It's been like that lately. Not only do I get tired very easily, I also have aches in places I didn't even know I had.
"It's better to be honest and precise with you. Though Margallo is my mate, I don't like her one bit. I disliked her from the very day I found out she was my mate. She's just too proud, rude, and bossy for her own good. She thinks she's so beautiful, but you know she's really not," Kayden began, and I laughed. It was funny seeing him demonstrate it out like a frustrated school girl.
"That's it," he said, and I paused, confused.
"That's what I want to see, Evelyn, your smile. It's so beautiful and heartwarming that you should probably do it all the time, though Margallo will feel threatened by your beauty," he said, and I laughed once more. I had been so sad just a minute ago, but it was absolutely amazing how much he'd managed to change my mood.
"I would have rejected her, but I couldn't. She's the daughter of the Alpha of Prime Wood pack. Don't get me wrong, Prime Wood isn't bigger or stronger than our pack, and they definitely don't intimidate us. We can take them any day, any time and win, but the problem was the situation and particularly the promise I made," Kayden said and ran a hand through his beautiful blonde hair while I listened attentively, not wanting to miss a single detail.
