Killian:
“Sergio Diaz, just the man I was looking for,” I said, glaring at the man before shooting one of his bodyguards. The man’s body fell, hitting the ground as blood poured from his head. Vladimir did the same to the other one, watching as he fell to the ground, taking his last breath before Sergio had time to process what was going on.
His eyes widened in surprise at my interruption, but he knew not to think of trying something stupid. If anything, he knew that I was the last person he would want to mess with. And considering he was doing something behind my back, he knew I wasn’t here for a drink.
“Killian Ivanov, to what do I owe the honor?” he asked, trying to give me the best smile he could muster. He looked down at the man who was sitting on the desk. I could tell this was the last thing both men expected when they tried having this deal, but then again, the last thing I would ever do was leave my grounds unsupervised. To say the least, they should have known better than to try crossing that limit. “I apologize, but I have yet to introduce the two of you. Arturo de Maria, Pakhan of the Bratva, Vor v Zakone, Killian Ivanov.” Boss of bosses of the Mafia, thieves in law.
The fact that he chose to lie about who the man was made me want to laugh. It only meant that he knew very well that this wasn’t something he was supposed to do. And it was something he was going to be punished for.
“Odin ne yavlyaetsya vorom na svoey territorii, Sergio.” One is not a thief in his territory, Sergio, I said, glaring at the man whose heart raced against his ribcage. The man was well aware that no business deals were made in my territory without my permission, and those who thought they could cross their limits often faced deadly consequences. However, considering he chose not to respect that, I was going to have to deal with him my way.
“E chiedo scusa, capo, non sapevo che si trattasse di un affare non autorizzato.” My apologies, boss, but I was not aware this was an unauthorized deal. Arturo said, trying to save his ass. I had to fight back laughing as I looked at Vladimir, who shook his head, noticing how the man was more than willing to simply abandon Sergio for his life. But then again, I couldn’t expect any less from a Bernardi. They were cowards and this was the least they would be doing.
“Sei ben consapevole che questo è il mio territorio, Signor Bernardi. Ti suggerisco di provare con un'altra bugia, no?” You are well aware that this is my territory, Mr. Bernardi; I do suggest you try another lie, no? I said, giving him a cold smile, letting them know I was well aware of their lies. I picked up one of the chairs and sat in front of the pair, crossing my right leg over the other, waiting for what they had to do.
