Since I have the gold through my hair, I decide not to wear too much jewelry. However, I do put on the earrings that Rhodes gave me when he came back from Seattle. This would be one of the only occasions that I can think of where it will be appropriate to wear them.
"Ready, love?" Rhodes's loud voice from outside in the front room causes me to jump slightly. I take one last look at myself in the mirror and adjust my dress before I walk out of the powder room and into the front room.
"Ready," I tell him as I walk out, adding the lipstick Anna gave me to the small black clutch along with my phone. I look up to see Rhodes standing in front of me, taking me in with a wide-open grin. He looks amazing; his sleek black tux and black tie are fitted to his body nicely, so classically handsome. I find myself blushing as his lips curl to form a whistle.
"Wow, give us a twirl then," I laugh as I shuffle on the spot in a circle as elegantly as I can. I hear a small chuckle from Rhodes as I complete my spin, he walks over to me and holds my hips softly.
"Stunning, so incredibly stunning," he sighs gently and smiles, tucking a strand of hair behind my ear, his smile grows wider.
"You're wearing the earrings," he confirms in a soft voice, it's like he's seen something so wonderful he can't believe his eyes.
"Well yeah, of course, I'm going to wear them, I love them," I grin softly and place my hands on his biceps. "Should we get going?" I ask after a few minutes of his gaze lingering on my physique. I'm glad he likes what I'm wearing, and that he deems it to be appropriate to wear to such an occasion as this.
"Yes, we should, the car's downstairs," he nods his head and takes my hand to lead me to the elevators.
