Evelyn jumped in surprise when the alpha suddenly burst through the door. His angry eyes traveled around the room to find her standing on the balcony.
The omega gulped, her fingernails digging into her delicate palm as she tried to make herself look as small as possible. Keiran took a deep breath as he strode towards her. He reminded the omega of a predator that was ready to attack.
The alpha gripped her hand, bringing her closer to him while Evelyn let out a helpless whimper. His gaze hovered over the girl like the shadow of a thunderstorm. Evelyn involuntarily shivered at the coldness of it. "Everything happened according to your wish, didn't it?" Keiran's voice was dangerously low. Evelyn could feel that the alpha was gritting his teeth when he said it. "You ruined everything. You!—A pathetic creature like you made me put my Pack in danger!" He seethed, making the omega flinch.
Evelyn opened and closed her mouth like a fish out of water. The girl couldn't talk because of the dominating smell of anger wafting off the alpha. Evelyn wasn't the reason they had to get married, and she knew that as well as the alpha. But is she going to say that? No. Why? Because the person in front of her is a furious alpha male.
Evelyn mustered up some courage and decided to look up at the alpha. She was greeted with a pair of fiery red eyes staring back at her. The omega quickly regretted her decision.
"Are you going to stand there like a mute?" He asked, frustrated that the omega wasn't uttering a single word.
"I-I'm sorry, A-Alpha." Evelyn didn't even know what she was sorry about. What did she do wrong? Is it her fault that she got fated with him? Is it her fault that the wedding happened? No, it wasn't.
Evelyn didn't have a choice in any of the things that happened in her life. She felt like a helpless puppet designed to always apologize for the things she didn't even do.
