Ezrah and Lake waited for almost an hour before Coco walked into the office with her personal bodyguard. Her countenance was lukewarm as she walked past them to the secretary’s desk with a faint smile. “Good morning.”
Lake’s gaze of admiration lingered on her as she said a few words to the secretary before going into her office. This was not her actual office but rather one belonging to one of the managers.
Michelle had made that arrangement to get Ezrah to this side of the office building before she came to take him to hers. Unable to work out for the past few days because of Ezrah’s pestering, Michelle thought to use the stairs as a form of exercise.
The bodyguard opened the door for Coco, closing it after she entered and stood by it. Lake was amazed. This was his first time dealing with women in management, and he did not know exactly how he was feeling due to his admiration for Coco.
He might just be biased if he tried to make any analysis. “You are right, Ezrah, it's her. Isn’t that Coco? She’s indeed Roselle, meaning that Zora is indeed the CEO of this company. Where did she make so much money? Did she rob a bank? Ezrah, have you thought that she might even be richer than you?”
Lake could not hold back his veneration. Just as Ezrah said, MRAB Group was going against the Henshaws, and a woman appeared looking exactly like his ex-wife. This was not a coincidence but the reality of the matter.
Ezrah’s expression was rather stoic, lost in deep thought. He was not here to see Coco but Michelle. However, Lake’s consistent appraisal of Michelle was getting him irritated, but not to the extent of bothering him so much to make him stop.
“A single woman was able to put up a company like this in less than three years when you have been at your family business for a decade now. Ezrah, you are no longer my role model. Michelle is the real deal.”
