"Are you sure about what you are saying? After administering the antidote, our contract ends. I no longer want to be involved in this," the doctor said sternly. For the few times he went for his routine weekly checks on Sebastian, he didn't like Michelle's scrutiny of all that he was doing, questioning his skills as a doctor.
As soon as he mentioned something, Michelle would Google it to find out what it was and what it did if she was new to it. Worse, she insisted on being there throughout all the doctor's visits, which made him very uncomfortable.
"Are you going to resign from your job?" Amir asked with a confused expression, taking the words out of the nanny's mouth. The doctor was honest, afraid of being nipped in the bud.
"Yes. Your cousin's wife asks too many questions. I'm afraid she doesn't trust me. But as for the antidote, since my next check on him is in a few days, I can administer it to him."
Amir was slightly relieved. They wanted Sebastian dead before, but with Michelle in the picture, they'd rather nurse him back to life to take another means of getting what they wanted from the Newmans.
Perhaps wait a few years before initiating another accident, and this time, be sure that Sebastian would not survive it. "You shall be paid handsomely too."
"I have to warn you that his recovery would still be slow, most probably months, and he would need physiotherapy to strengthen his muscles, or he might be paralyzed."
If Sebastian was paralyzed, then he would still not be able to get Michelle out of the house, so that was out of the question. "Don't worry about that, but how long would the physio take?"
