GINA
I gasped for air as I was pulled out of the water by the stranger. The cool breeze on my skin made my body shiver as I collided into the stranger.
As I looked up, my eyes met familiar cold blue eyes, and I felt my breath hitch in my throat.
Devyn gripped my arm, staring at me with frantic eyes, with our bodies pressed together.
The emotions I had tried to suppress flooded back: anger, pain, betrayal. Overwhelmed, I couldn't hold back any longer.
“LET ME GO! I HATE YOU!”
I screamed at him, as I pounded against his chest with my fists. He didn’t say anything or try to shove me off… he just let me hit him.
As I released everything on him, my gaze remained on his chest, because I didn’t dare to look him in the eyes. If I saw the cold and emotionless look in his eyes, it would only confirm that he did all of this to hurt me.
