I found myself in a familiar clearing; our usual spot where Praya and I came to relax. It was nighttime, and the moon's glow lit up the sky. As I approached the lake where we usually swam, the water looked magical under the moon’s ethereal glow.
The water called out to me, and I followed its voice. Barefoot, when I dipped a foot into the water, a burst of energy flowed through me, sending shudders through my body.
Dipping my other foot, the energy flowed from where the water touched my skin, spreading through my entire being. It was undoubtedly magical.
Just when I was about to plunge completely into the water, I heard the sound of a twig snapping behind me. I craned my neck to get a better look and nearly collided with what stood in front of me.
A magnificent creature stood in front of me—a large wolf, with shiny red fur adorning its body. It gazed at me with searching eyes, and my attention was immediately drawn to the glowing crescent mark on its forehead.
Praya.
The red wolf tilted its head, studying me with curiosity. Its eyes bore into mine, as if boring into my soul. Nudging its head forward, it seemed to encourage me to touch it. Without a hint of fear, I slowly extended my hand. Its intense gaze followed my movement, and as my hand paused in front of its head, the wolf nudged forward, pressing its temple into my hand.
I scratched behind its ear and it purred.
