Devyn
I rushed towards the source of the scream, my heart tightening as I realized it emanated from the dark room. I didn’t know what to expect, but I had a feeling I wasn’t going to like it.
As I reached the door, Lucia was on the ground, her body rocking as she cried. My gaze swept the room urgently, searching for Gina, but a cold stillness enveloped me when I realized she wasn’t there.
What the hell?
I rushed to Lucia who was still hunched up on the floor.
“What happened? Where the hell is she?” I asked her.
She looked up at me with her tear-stained face, and began to speak hysterically. Her uncontrolled sobs rendered her speech incomprehensible.
“Calm down and speak. Where is she?” I demanded, my tone firm as my patience began to slowly slip away.
