"Sir?" Hera called out, not believing who her eyes were staring at.
He was the very last person she had been expecting to see. Why would he show up here? Hera studied him closely. He looked worn out and pretty much exhausted, but she'd be crazy before she tells him that. She was pretty certain that he knew that as well.
"Are you okay, sir?" She was forced to ask because he didn't look good at all.
"Can I come in?"
Hera hesitated. The last time they were alone together, he had kissed and done certain things that almost fried her senses. Was it worth it to risk letting him into her apartment? What if he did something worse to her?
Bryce saw the indecision in her eyes as she fought within herself. He knew that he could be a prick, but why couldn't she trust him? He had promised not to touch her—yet.
And he thought that they were finally on the same page. She was still very much scared of him.
"I won't do anything you don't approve of," he added, and she looked up at his face to confirm if he was truly being sincere with her.
