"What the f*ck were you thinking, man?" Carlos scolded me as we entered my office room. "I thought the plan was to talk to her."
"I know, I messed up, okay?" I replied as I dragged my tie from choking me any further than I already am.
I can't believe I messed up. All I know is that she made me feel uneasy, and I just ended up saying things I should not have even thought of. First, I'd only blabbed about telling her boss about her drinking at that club just to stir some reaction, which oddly enough I found really entertaining, but then she got really upset and raised her voice at me. No woman ever did that to me. None.
But what surprised me was the way I got upset too, the way she affected me to stir a reaction like that from me.
"You know what I think?" Carlos said as he sat on my chair. "I think that woman has got you good and I'm so glad."
I gave him a look that meant him to shut up, but instead he started laughing. How am I ever gonna tell her about my job proposal? Would she ever wanna talk to me again?
