"Isn't that Larry Kensington?" one of the women close by whispered to another standing beside her. They all looked at him in a way that immediately gave me the hint that he was some important person. An important person I didn't know a thing about. Typical me.
One of the women from the other section stopped in front of us, a big grin spreading across her lips the moment she noticed his face, and said, her palms clasped together, "Oh my goodness, you must be Larry Kensington!"
I noticed how the man shifted beside me, as if embarrassed or just upset with all the unnecessary attention he was getting. Scratching the back of his neck, he replied quietly, "Yeah..."
This jerk.
"It's so nice to meet you!" she exclaimed excitedly, pulling his hands into hers. "My son loves your energy drink. He drinks it all the time! And I love your TV shows!"
What now?
"I'm glad you like them," he smiles, the smile seeming to be faked as he tries to pull his hands out of her grip.
After dragging out his hand, he walks away, leaving the woman to watch his back in awe. I hurried to catch up with him as he took the wrong direction. What was it with this man? First he talks about having a son and now everyone's staring at him like he was some TV show celebrity.
