For the next few days, I keep an eye on Margallo and try to spy on her, but nothing is achieved. She'd stopped leaving her windows open and she's always in her room most of the time.
During the times when she's not in her room, I go in to check. I've checked about three times but have been unable to find any letter or incriminating evidence. I was almost caught on my third try, and if not for Goddess Selene's intervention, I would surely have been.
On that day, Margallo had just bumped into her room unceremoniously; she would have caught me if she'd only looked into the room, but as soon as she was about to, her name was called and she left the room again.
I immediately took the chance and left. It happened two days ago, and the incident left me a bit shaken. I don't feel like going into her room anymore, but I don't really have a choice.
Today is Margallo's birthday, and as I remember correctly, she's going to carry out her evil plans today. I pace up and down my room before eventually sitting down as my feet begin to feel heavy.
I had constantly been keeping an eye on Margallo. I'm almost a hundred percent sure that she hasn't received or sent any letter outside of the palace yet, but that only means that she'll have to send it today. I have to keep a close eye on her, find out the truth without getting caught at all costs, and finally expose her.
The sequence of events seems simple in my head, but only I know how difficult it's going to be, especially given my current condition.
"Evelyn, you can't keep worrying like this. If you keep bothering yourself, who's going to carry out the plan? The party will start in a few hours, the decorations are still being set up, so I suggest you get into your party clothes and get to work. The truth isn't gonna expose itself, you know," Tara reminds me, sarcastically, and though I want to argue, I stop myself because I know that it's the truth.
