I wrote down my decision and Elsie nodded her head and smiled at me, but I knew she wasn't genuinely happy with me because her smile was fake; it didn't reach her eyes. She was only smiling at me as a form of encouragement, but I know that this is a step I need to take.
"That's good. You're the one carrying the child, so only you can decide if you want to give birth to him or not. I want you to know that I'll always support you no matter what decision you make.
You must be feeling tired and hungry, so I'll send Emily to bring you something to eat, and you have to eat it, OK? If you don't, I'll be mad at you." She threatened, and I smiled and nodded; it just feels so good to have someone who is willing to support you through anything.
"I'll go check up on our mother for now, just please eat and rest properly. I'll come back to check on you soon." She promised and stood up to leave.
She got to the door and turned to me, giving me a smile before walking out.
"What? Have you gone crazy?" Tara attacked, utterly shocking me because this is the first time she'd ever said something like that to me.
'Tara, what are you saying?' I questioned. "Who gave you the right to decide alone if to keep our pup?" she questioned, apparently livid, and I could understand this is also her child as well.
'Listen to me, Tara, I know it will make you upset, but doing away with this child will be the best decision for us. I don't want to have to raise this baby alone; it also needs a father, you know,' I tried to reason with her.
