I gasped as my eyes fell on the huge building that stood in front of me. It looked glorious, and I wondered how magnificent the inside would look.
Ana noticed my amazement and chuckled softly. "It's huge, I know, but it won't feel so amazing once you come here a second time," she said and gave me her hand.
I took it and followed her as she walked towards the entrance of the palace. There were several guards stationed there, and they bowed once they noticed her approaching.
"There's really no need for that. How are all of you faring today?" she questioned with a smile.
"Very well, Queen Mother. It's so nice of you to care for our well-being," they replied curtly, and I almost couldn't believe my ears. So everything Ana had told me was true; she really is the Luna's mother. She must be a very humble person indeed, and I instantly felt honored to be friends with her. After the exchange of pleasantries, they finally seemed to notice me, and for some reason I couldn't explain, they kept staring at me strangely, and this made me feel very uncomfortable.
Ana nodded, and we both went in. The interior of the palace was more than I had imagined, and I couldn't say how impressed I felt. This pack seems to be much wealthier than my former one if the Alpha can afford such a luxurious place.
We passed by various maids and attendants who greeted Ana just like the guards had. She stopped one of them. "Emily, where's Elsie?" Ana questioned. "Her Highness is in her chambers, Queen Mother," the maid called Emily replied, and I noticed that she kept her eyes on me, and because I wasn't used to being stared at, I just looked to the ground awkwardly.
"Very well, thank you," Ana said, and the girl wanted to protest, but Ana spoke before she could.
