After the long, steamy shower, I stepped into the bedroom with a fresh sense of ease, but as soon as I started applying cream to my skin, I could feel Magnus watching me. His eyes lingered on me in a way that made me blush uncontrollably. I grabbed my hairdryer, ready to dry my wet strands, but before I could even start, he snatched it from my hand.
"Let me do it," he said in that deep, commanding tone of his, and though I wanted to protest, something in his voice told me to just let him.
He dried my hair with surprising gentleness, his fingers working through the strands, sending little tingles down my spine. I could feel my heart fluttering at the intimacy of it, though I tried my best not to show it.
Some minutes later, my hair was completely dry, and I was ready to change. Wrapping the towel tighter around me, I glanced at him, hoping he would leave. "Okay, I'm going to get dressed now, so... close your eyes or go outside."
But instead of leaving, Magnus just chuckled. "Close my eyes? Why? I've already seen everything, haven't I?"
My mouth fell open. "That's not the point!"
He leaned against the doorframe, a lazy grin on his face, clearly enjoying my embarrassment. "And why are you chasing me away? You weren't shy earlier when you were—"
"Magnus!" I interrupted, my face burning red. He was impossible! How could he be so casual about all of this? I wanted to disappear into the floor, but he just laughed, completely at ease.
