Zander sat across from Valen at the circular table before anyone else came.
"Dude, that was supposed to be my seat!" He watched Ryley narrow his eyes and smile.
"Your bad luck…" Zander shrugged his shoulders as he stole a glance at Valen and grinned sheepishly.
Almost all of the tables around them were filled. Why wouldn't it be? Their last-moment plan of having a dinner together was not good, to say the least.
The table they took belonged to somebody else. It was a family table for ten, five chairs on each side of the rectangular furniture, that was booked for some birthday boy by his father for a family celebration. However, the poor manager had to give it away to these young people since the bad boys (Zander and Ryley) towered over him in the corner and threatened to break his bones.
There was nothing the helpless manager could say to explain himself because they were the young alpha and beta. In their fathers' rule, the restaurants and clubs were permitted to operate on their norms and code of conduct, but who wanted to mess with the future leaders and get on their blacklist already?
The table they got was luckily in the corner, where light barely reflected, and the others from the other tables couldn't see anything. It was like the cherry on top for the wild wolves having come with their respective partners.
Zander had his two-week-old girlfriend, Claire; Ryley with his mate; and Yeoman, Clark, and Wendy with their respective partners. The guys had placed their orders already, and now they talked to each other excitedly as this was the first time they went together with their partners.
