Mrs. Brown batted her eyes a few seconds after Zander left the sight of her eyes. It was hard to take that reply from him. He didn't sound like himself at all.
"Mummy, Zany has returned. Can I go play with him?" Little Milan halted at the entrance of the kitchen while asking for permission from her mom.
Only if little Milan could understand that her mother had not heard her words, she would know that she was not going to get an answer. Mrs. Brown was too shocked by Zander's reply to focus on her daughter, who was waiting for her answer.
Milan patiently waited for her response. The little cub played with her fingers as her cute dove-like eyes watched her mother's colorless face. She waited until her patience waned.
And when Mrs. Brown did not attend her interrogation, she turned around and nearly caught speed as her legs hurried to meet her brother.
Dressed in a cute lovely light pink frock and a beautiful hair band resting on her short-haired head, with a cute Minnie Mouse bow on it, Milan halted right before Zander's door.
Her tiny palm slapped against the closed door as her chiming voice addressed him, "Zany.... Zany...." She lightly hit the wooden partition separating her from her brother.
Her tiny little feet stayed bare on the cold floor while she called for Zander. Milan called him numerous times; alas, like her mother, her brother didn't answer her either.
