Quinn's POV
As soon as the phone rang, Henry and I looked at each other.
I could feel the intensity of his heartbeat. He seemed to be really scared. He raised his phone, and from the look on his face, I was able to figure out that it was Kathleen calling. I grabbed his phone from him and cut the call immediately, then I muted his ringtone.
There was no other way to escape this impending storm. From the very start, I knew that Henry and I were making a huge mistake. If Miss Kathleen happened to find the two of us together, then there would be no explanation whatsoever to defend our action.
One way or the other, I knew that I had to figure out a way to get myself out of this mess. If there was something I could get myself doomed for, it would be any other thing but not having an affair with my boss.
The monthly pay I was getting for working as his personal maid was twice greater than the income of an accountant or even a school teacher.
I looked at Henry, hoping that he had already figured out a way to get us out of this mess.
"We can't let her see the two of us together. What should we do?" I asked him.
