Killian:
Vladimir and I sat in the office, reading through the reports that had arrived from the clubs earlier before calling it a night.
I knew that it was Liana, and considering the fact that mom and dad left New York to head to Moscow for the next few months, I knew that she would be reporting to me about the new maids who arrived.
“Alpha,” she said, nodding at me, and I nodded back at her. She smiled, and both Vladimir and I got up to greet her. The woman has raised us alongside our mothers, and therefore, we both treated her as a mother.
I wrapped my arms around her and hugged her before kissing the crown of her head. Vladimir took her hand in his and kissed her knuckle.
“How are you, Liana?” I asked, motioning for her to take a seat. She smiled and sat down as I walked to the coffee table that I had and made her a cappuccino. She wasn’t the type to drink alcohol, and I didn’t force her into something that she didn’t like.
“I am fine, son, and how are the two of you? You have been busy lately, and I haven’t been seeing you around the house as much,” she said, and I smiled as I got her the cup. I put it on the coffee table in front of her and sat on the chair that was beside Vladimir, dropping the boss and Alpha cape. She wasn’t one that I used it on. If anything, she spent more time with me than my own mother did when she was busy tending to things with my father.
“We are both fine, you know that we tend to get stuck up with work at this time of year. Plus, there is the fact that the Bernardi family were here, so that had us a little busier than usual,” I said, and she nodded. She knew of the rivalry between both families. If anything, she has been working for the family even before dad married mom. That was around forty years ago, but asking her to retire was not something that she took. Therefore, I just chose to have her deal with the easier things around the house.
